Anjou is a wonderful luxery and comfortable former farmhouse,dating from the 18th century the accommodation is more or less on one level, having just three steps up to the dining room and two to the bedrooms.It is nestled amongst the vineyards, surrounded by beautiful countryside,the surrounding fields and are filled with golden sunflowers, maize,and grape vines which provide a wonderful backdrop to this glorious area in the National Parc. We are only 4 minutes from the market town of Doue la Fontaine and just 15 minutes from the stunning well known town of Saumur with its fabulous chateau and magical Loire River. The beaches of the Vendee are within driving distance.
Also within easy driving distance of the ferry ports and the option , of flying with the low cost airlines, into Poitiers, Nantes, Angers or Tours.

Anjou has three double bedrooms, two doubles and one twin room. The lounge is very comfortable with a wonderful wood burning fire.The lounge has TV, dvd hifi, games and books for all ages. The diningroom and kitchen are all separate making for spacious accommodation. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped,with dish washer, 2 fridges,washing machine etc, in fact everything you need to feel 'at home'. Separate bathroom and toilet.

The thick walls of the gite , keep it cool in the heat of the summer and has the benefit of central heating and a wood burning fire, making Anjou a comfortable year round holiday home. There is a secluded garden with garden furniture and sstone built BBQ. There are wonderful views over the vineyards whilst you bbq.

The swimming pool, paddeling pool and childen's play area is situated in a large garden with patio and sun-loungers and has the advantage of sunshine from early morning to late evening. We invote guests to help themselves to organic fruits, ranging from delicious strawberries, rapsberries, redcurrents, apples and pears.
Wonderful home cooked evening meals are served three times a week, giving you a break from cooking. We have an extensive range of baby and toddler equipment, infact all you need is your child!!

We've had a great week ion this gorgeous gite. Have enjoyed the pool. Rochemenier troglodyte village was interesting plus we enjoyed the Chateau & Town of Montreuil Bellay + of course Doue Zoo! (Get there early to feed the giraffes). Thanks Sue and Jon for your great hospitality throughout our stay! To book we ask for a 20% booking deposit plus the £100 refundable security deposit.
The balance of your holiday is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
We include bed linen, house towels, tea towels within the rental.
