Our charming NON SMOKING cottage, a formel huntinglodge from 1934 with the comfort of today , 3 km from the village center is on a property of 1500 sqm in the middel of a rural area and nature reserve Doornendijk and surrounded by dikes, papletrees and lakes. Several terraces overlooking the spectacular Flemish nature.
We offer you 2 double bedrooms - bathroom - kitchen - sittingsroom / satelite Hd lcd Tv ,books and information of the region. In the garden there is also a BBQ.
100% silence and you hear only your neigbours ( the birds )
The willow-lined canals, lush green pastures and extensive soft, sandy dunes of Flanders need no introduction ; their beauty has been captured for centuries by some of the world's greatest artists. The Meetjesland, however is known only to a discerning few, yet it has much to offer anyone seeking peace and quiet.
So you can say back to nature, but don't forget the historical towns of Ghent 20 km - Bruges and Damme 40 km - Antwerp 40 km, the Dutch historical town of Middelburg - Goes - Veere - Zierikzee and the Island of Zeeland are at 30' drive by car and the Dutsch North Sea coast 28 km are nearby. The old town of Lille ( France ) 85 km.
The area is also a paradise for cycling,walking, fishing and relaxing.
At the house, free bicycles are provided for guests.
Activities in the Assenede area include tennis - bowling - golf - sailing - surfing - swimming-pool - fishing - bicycling - hiking.
