Newly renovated (2007) house to rent for family holidays in Hydra.
Angeliko house is situated in Kamini offering spectacular views across the valley.
The two upper terraces give the opportunity to watch the sunrise in the morning and capture the sunset in the evening.
Conveniently close to two grocery shops for daily shopping and only about a 10 min walk from Hydra town and the beach at Kamini.
The house offers accommodation for a maximum of 8.
The ground level offers an outside terrace with total privacy, ideal for relaxing in the lazy afternoons or enjoying staying in for an evening meal.
It also consists of a dining area, small living room, a kitchen with all necessary equipment including a washing machine, bathroom, bedroom with twin beds and an extra room for laundry.
The upper floor has two bedrooms, one double with private terrace and one with twin beds plus a bathroom with shower.
In the living room, there is a sofa that unfolds to make 2 extra beds.
The house is air-conditioned throughout and it is available all year round.
Angeliko house is a short walk to the sea and in the centre of town. When you imagine a perfect Greek island Hydra is it. Narrow cobbled lanes to get lost in, unexpected chic shops round corners, quality locally served tavernas, busy and quiet bars, sea front cafes, swimming in crystal clear waters, goat tracks, coastal walks, deserted hills, pine forests, empty bays, hidden water sports facilities, friendly locals.
There are day trips to other islands: Spetses, Poros, Dokos, Aegina, Agistri. There is sunshine, shade and old windmills.
But what gives Hydra it's unique feel are the strict building regulations which keeps everything in traditional harmony and the fact that the only mode of transport is donkey.
There are no roads and no cars or bikes. Everywhere is a short walk or, if you like, a donkey ride away. The traditional way of building and lack of motorised transport keep the pace of life in Hydra as it was 100 years ago.
