Perdika is 9 km from the port in Aegina Town. It used to be a fishing village and now also caters to visitors from all over the globe. Its little houses are built around the port while its little gardens and courtyards are interconnecting. There is a pedestrianised area where tavernas serve fish from the nearby seas. Cafes and bars are also found in this district.
One can also enjoy the wooded areas and benches with their views of the sea. There is a regular bus service & taxi fares are reasonable, as are the taxi boats to Moni Island, where deer and rabbits have almost no fear of humans.
Most locals swim off the rocks around the village when not visiting Moni, or the other nearby beaches. Klima beach is within walking distance. The village has a friendly and warm atmosphere and many visitors come back year after year. During the weekend in particular the is a large influx of Greek visitors, and the cuisine is therefore Greek rather than International - a good indicator of quality!
