The apartment GIRASOLE is in the Frantoio (ex Olive mill) at Borgo Belfiore. The Borgo nestling in the heart of the Marche region lies in the province of Ancona just 35 km inland from the Adriatic Coast. GIRASOLE is one of 13 comfortable apartments in 2 historic 17th century buildings. The buildings and apartments have been restored in the traditional style with all modern comforts and tasteful furnishings.
Here we offer you a relaxing and cosy holiday retreat situated in its’ own 7.5 acres of land where you can enjoy plenty of sunshine, shadow and privacy. The Borgo square is a cosy meeting place and there is a meeting room with TV and Internet corner nearby.
In the olive grove you will find our spacious pool with cascade and kids pool with breathtaking views.
Borgo Belfiore lies on the outskirts of the little village of Montefortino (di Arcevia) and is an ideal venue for nature lovers seeking peace and tranquillity. It is also a good starting point to explore the rich history and art of Marche and its medieval (castle)towns and villages. In this way we offer you a combination of beauty, comfort, quality and tranquillity in a region well-known for its rolling hills, biological farming and friendly inhabitants.
During mid and low season we do weddingplanning and host marriage feasts. Occasionly we offer workshops (Italian cooking, public speaking,selfexpression and communication).
Borgo Belfiore has 3 meeting rooms, a house chapel with sacred altar.
We as proprietors do live on the borgo and look forward to welcome you personally.

Le Marche, the region known as the Marches, derives its name from the German mark, meaning boundery or frontier. A plural name for a place with a decidely plural personality. To look at, the area is strongly reminiscent of a patchwork quilt thrown over soft rolling hills with small farms and woodlands giving different colours even during the same season. In summer many fields with sunflowers underlign the splendour of this calm authentic area. The farms have not been abandoned. Organic farming methods resulting in small quantities of top quality produce.A cooparativo near to us do export even to Asia. Impportant for this area further more are wheat, spelt, lentils and truffels just name a few. Friendly inhabitants, though initially somewhat stubborn, will be more than helpful, to expats and tourists.
Natural parks with beautiful protected flora and fauna are just around the corner. Plenty of museums, castles, theaters and (open air) opera festivals in Marcerata and Pesaro alternatively jazz festivals can be visited in high season too.
The beaches of Senigallia and the Conero natural park are splendid. And yet even in the high season visitors can enjoy particularly in the hinterland a relax atmosphere without being disturbed by mass tourism.
