Well built stone split level apartment opposite the sunken city at Ancient Epidavros

Accommodation with large lawn at the front of the property which borders the beach

Located on the beach and with a large lawn and shaded places to sit, these loft apartments are ideally located for a quiet holiday or a short break or a base during the Epidavros Festival. All the apartments have their own balconies, air-con,tv, fridge with freezer compartment, small cooker with 3 rings (2 large and one small for a 'briki' (small pan for boiling water for Greek coffee) and a washing machine at the back of the apartments which can be used by guests.

The loft apartments have a built in double bed on the upper level of the apartments and a built in single on the lower floor. An extra folding bed can be provided and probably a sofa bed in 2012 The apartments can accommodate up to five people. The balconies face the sea and the common exterior landing at the back the orchard and the mountains.

The owner has an inflatable motor boat on which he will be happy to arrange a day for you to explore the surrounding area. He can arrange to leave you on a beach across the water and arrange for you to call him when you are ready to come back.

A transfer from the airport at Athens can be arranged in a Mercedes taxi with air-con for about 180 euros (price current for Sept. 2011)

The building, plants, trees and lawn are all well tended and looked after and the building is also well insulated for all seasons. There are also two brick-built barbecues in the grounds.

There is a canoe at the rooms which guests are welcome to use.

The lawn has some large straw type 'umbrellas' at the front of the lawn by the beach which is sandy and a shallow with sand under foot. A few metres away in the sea is the sunken city of Epidavros. Just along the beach a few metres away is a taverna/cafe/bar with a large selection of food and drink and with the use of sunbeds while you are at the taverna.

The town of Ancient Epidavros is about 1 km away.

This property is very peaceful and offers an ideal place for most holiday makers to enjoy one of the most beautiful areas of Greece.

Ancient Epidavros is one of the loveliest places to get some peace and quiet. The surroundings seem almost tropical with banana trees and palms all around.

The area also has an abundance of citrus trees as well as figs and pomegranates. The small beach is sandy and shallow.

A few metres out to sea are the ruins of the sunken city of Epidavros which you can swim or wade out to. The large bay edged by verdant hills with mountains further back. The combination of sea and lush landscape is unbeatable.

The small ancient theatre is 300 metres away, the famous Theatre of Epidavros where many plays are staged during the summer bringing an international cast and audience is 12 km away and makes this area an ideal base for holiday mixing culture and relaxation.

There are countless places nearby which can be accessed by road or sea. From Methana you can reach Athens, Aegina, (Agistri via Aegina), and Poros. From Poros you can travel to Hydra, and Spetses. Via road you can also visit Nafplio, Methana, Mycenae, Ancient Argos and the Castle of Larissa, Ancient Corinth and Ancient Tiryntha.

There is a taverna/cafe/bar on the beach about 20 metres away from the section of beach in front of your property.

The taverna also has sun beds which you can use.

The apartments are set back from the beach, with the space in front laid to lawn, making this a very pleasant place to relax and for chiildren to play.

For each extra person there is a charge of 5 euros per night.

We require a deposit of 15% by PayPal to secure the booking and 30% immediately after booking by bank transfer and the remaider - 55% - to arrive no later than 30 days before your arrival by bank transfer again.
